The XXX Truth or Dare Board game will make its debut Nov. 15 with the Men Only and Just for Girls versions to be unveiled at XBIZ Retail 2012 and available for retail in January.
“XXX Truth or Dare is an extremely engaging and sexually adventurous board game designed for those who enjoy exploring others in a fun sensual manner with the kind of boundaries that are set within the privacy of their chosen venue,” XXX Truth or Dare Managing Director Sean told XBIZ. “Whilst there are numerous sex games available commercially, there are none as daring or thrilling as XXX Truth or Dare. Unlike other games, XXX Truth or Dare removes ‘tame’ out of the game’s frame and provides a wild platform that players can build on depending on their own stamina and wild fantasies. Throughout all of our research we have not heard of anyone finishing the first round yet!”
According to Sean, XXX Truth or Dare is designed to serve as an ice breaker between singles and married couples; and is geared toward groups of three or more people.
“The game was designed through lack of availability of wild, sexually fun and explicit board games,” Sean said. “We wanted a game that would help the players come out of their shells and have a night to remember.”
After gathering ideas on the drawing board “using old-fashioned pencil,” Sean said the company tapped a professional to conceptualize the initial design electronically.
Testing groups were formed to try out the company’s set of unique truth or dare questions, and the feedback they gave provided renewed interest and encouragement for the company about the game’s content and layout.
“This process took about 13 months as we wanted to ensure a strong foundation was accomplished before building a business around it,” Sean said.
Amid the company’s research, Sean said that they couldn’t find a single, well-designed homosexual-specific board game.
“So, back to market research, think tanks, volunteers, group feedback and all that process and now we have the gay and lesbian versions in manufacturing,” Sean said. “Although they are formatted in a similar way, the truth questions are naturally not your average husband and wife questions! The dare, well, we paid some people handsomely to test our very creative market research tools, tabulated the data and narrowed it down to the questions we sent to print. We are especially proud of our gay/lesbian versions as that market sector seems to have been largely ignored by game designers.”
XXX Truth or Dare Board makes its initial debut Nov. 15 with the Men Only and Just for Girls versions to be unveiled at XBIZ Retail 2012, taking place Jan. 9-10 at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel, following the ANME Founders Show.
